Gale will replace four eBooks in Health & Wellness Resource Center with newer editions. The new editions of the titles below are being added to HWRC between now and December. When a new edition is added, Gale removes the older one.

• Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine, 3rd edition (2009)

• Gale Encyclopedia of Cancer, 3rd edition (2010)

• Gale Encyclopedia of Genetic Disorders, 3rd edition (2010)

• Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, 4th edition (2011)

In order to provide a second access point, Gale added the new editions of the same four eBooks to Gale Virtual Reference Library for Oregon accounts. Those titles are available in GVRL now.

How do you get to GVRL? That database is featured on the secondary Find Information page for students and educators. Also, it's a choice in the Gale common menu, which is what you see when you click on PowerSearch. And, PowerSearch is a choice on all Find Information pages on OSLIS.

For those who purchased some GVRL eBooks on your own, remember that you can ask Gale customer support to combine the statewide titles with yours so your school's students and staff don't have to look for Gale eBooks in two different places.
