Hi,
One way to promote the Gale databases is to put out free posters and, in some cases, bookmarks and tent cards. For example, you can get promotional materials for Kids InfoBits and Student Resource Center.
Go to this page, http://www.gale.cengage.com/power/request_materials.htm, and hover over the icons for poster, bookmark, etc. to see a preview. Select the number of items you would like, click Continue at the bottom, fill out your contact info, and confirm your order. You should receive a confirmation email soon thereafter. The customer number is not a required field, so just ignore it when filling out contact info.
Please do not request a poster for every classroom or a bookmark for every student. Use the resources strategically – posters in a few key places and bookmarks for specific classes that do a lot of research, for example. Some people add the remote access user name and password to the poster and then laminate it before hanging. Another idea is to add a sheet of paper strips like you see on “for sale” flyers. Teachers and students who need the login info can tear off a reminder. Finally, maybe you want to coordinate one large order for several or all schools in your district.
Thanks,
Jen
