[Secondary] LearningExpress Library Now Available in Career Information System

November 14, 2011

If students in your school do not utilize Career Information System, feel free to disregard this email.

As a result of a partnership with the Oregon State Library, LearningExpress Library (LEL) is now available in Oregon Career Information System (CIS). This is an additional access point; LEL is still available via OSLIS.

LearningExpress Library users should understand that access via CIS and OSLIS represents two different accounts. In other words, the results of tests taken in one account will not be viewable in another account. So, if your school offers CIS, you might want to decide the best way to access LearningExpress Library so as to avoid double accounts for students.

To access LEL via OSLIS, users click on the LEL link on the student or educator Find Information page, and then log in (or create an account and then log in).

To access LEL via CIS, users log in to CIS, click on My Career Planning Portfolio at the top right of the page, and click on My Learning Express (last option on page). After clicking on Continue, users will get right in to LEL without having to log in because the LEL account is connected to their existing CIS account. When they are done using LEL and exit, they will still be logged in to CIS.

If this sounds confusing, try accessing LEL via CIS as described above. It's pretty easy, if you know your CIS login. If you don't have a CIS login, maybe the building counselor/s do?
