OSLIS Learn to Research Posters and Bookmarks Now Available

December 9, 2015

A major purpose of OSLIS is to help students learn how to do research. The OSLIS Learn to Research model includes four steps for elementary students and six steps for secondary. The OSLIS committee is continually updating content in the Learn to Research section, and they recently worked with a graphic artist to design posters and bookmarks that outline the research process. Three poster sizes are available for download: 8.5 x 11, 11 x 17, and 24 x 36. There are many ways to use these resources.

  • The smallest poster is also available in black and white; consider asking to have it included in next year’s student handbook.
  • Besides hanging a poster in the library, teachers can hang them in their classrooms.
  • Perhaps you could distribute the bookmarks to parents at a PTO / PTA meeting. Etc.

The posters are linked at the bottom of the Learn to Research landing page for elementary educators and secondary educators. By the way, those landing pages are also the access point for the master list of information literacy eBooks that are embedded throughout the Learn to Research section.

Questions about the posters, bookmarks, or eBooks? Please ask.

Thanks,
Jen
