Webinars for Oregon: Support STEM w/ OSLIS Gale Resources

January 30, 2017

Hi,

We at the State Library have arranged for a Gale trainer to provide two STEM-focused webinars just for Oregon library staff and teachers. Details are below. Please spread the word, and I hope to “see” you on February 15th or 16th.

Support STEM with Your OSLIS Gale Resources

STEM is increasingly emphasized as crucial to educational and economic success. With access to STEM-focused eBooks plus databases like Research In Context, Student Resources In Context, and National Geographic Kids through OSLIS, you have some built-in resources to help students explore and learn science concepts. We’ll provide best practices for finding STEM content in multiple Gale databases as well as library and classroom examples you can model. Attend the elementary or secondary focused session (or both) to discover how to use your OSLIS Gale resources to support this critical area! To register, please visit this page, click on the webinar title with the appropriate audience focus, and click on Register.

Elementary Resources – Wednesday, February 15, 2017, 3:30 – 4:30 PM Pacific
Secondary Resources – Thursday, February 16, 2017, 3:30 – 4:45 PM Pacific

**Important: This webinar offers audio via your computer or phone conference. Audio via your computer requires the download and installation of InterCall’s Reservationless-Plus VoIP Softphone. This is not standard VoIP audio; you may need system administrator permission to install this on your computer. If you plan to use your computer’s audio, please prepare your computer in advance of the webinar by installing the tool; use the appropriate link below or visit this site for more information. Or, use the phone number that will be provided in your registration confirmation email.

Install InterCall Reservationless-Plus VoIP Client:
Download Reservationless-Plus VoIP softphone (.exe)
Download Reservationless-Plus VoIP softphone for MAC (.pkg)

The webinars will be recorded and should be available here within a week of the original webinar date.

Questions? Please ask.

Thanks,
Jen
