Gale Updates to Some Database Interfaces & Training Website

February 8, 2018

Hi,

Gale is updating the look and “voice” of their training website. One goal is to better align the instructional component with what people are trying to accomplish with the resources. Much is now available on the new website, but not everything. For example, most of Gale’s very helpful tip sheets have not been transferred yet.

Also, Gale made a few minor updates to some database interfaces yesterday. For most of the Gale databases that we have access to through the state contract, Save to Google Drive and Save to OneDrive now appear in the Tools menu. Previously those options were accessible one click deeper under Tools / Download. Also, Health & Wellness Resource Center now has the Topic Finder tool. Plus, the interface for Kids InfoBits and Research In Context can now be translated into 23 different languages. For screenshots and more details, see the Gale blog post.

Questions? Please ask.

Thanks,
Jen
