Citation Maker & Option to Save as Google Doc => Issue Fixed & https

Hi,

Good news! After several weeks of communicating with Google through the vendor that hosts OSLIS, Citation Maker is now a verified website with Google. That means that users will no longer see this message when accessing Citation Maker – “This app isn’t verified. Only proceed if you know and trust the developer.”

Someone who is using the Save to Google Docs feature on Citation Make for the first time will be prompted by Google to allow access. That is standard Google practice. The message will look something like the one in the image below. After clicking on “Allow,” the user will not be alerted by Google again when accessing Citation Maker in the future.

As part of the process to get Google verification, we added the SSL certificate to OSLIS. That means there is now an “s” in the full official URL for OSLIS webpages – https instead of http. All “http” bookmarks will automatically redirect to the “https” URL. If you want, you can update any OSLIS bookmarks that start with “http.” If your bookmarked URLs start with “www,” there is no need to update them.

Questions? Please ask. Ultimately, this is good information to know, but no action on your part is required.

Thanks,
Jen
