Hi Folks, 

In the middle of May, I gave you a heads up that Gale will change some database names and make some adjustments to most database interfaces over the summer. Ultimately, most changes will not be major and should be easy to get used to. I encourage you to explore Gale’s Product Enhancements page, especially the Overview, FAQ, and Preview sections. There’s also a page that lists which databases will be updated and when.   

Gale is offering webinars in July and early August to introduce you to the changes. Can’t make it to a webinar? Sign up anyway, and you will receive a link to the recording. Registration links are below. There will also be two Gale sessions at the OASL Fall Conference. The conference will be on October 11^th and 12^th in Lincoln City. All interested library staff, classroom teachers, and administrators are welcome to attend the conference. 

Once the database changes are live, I’ll be in touch about any recommended actions, like changing the icons for databases with name changes, if you use the database icons on your website, etc.
