Online Training Opps for April (= Webinars, inc. 2 about CRT)

I am posting this to the OSLIST listserv because there are a few webinars related to the statewide databases available through OSLIS. There are also some webinars about coronavirus and libraries. Thanks. – Jen

Hi,

This WebJunction page has a list of free webinars for April. Don’t have a lot of time? Maybe scan the titles for something that jumps out at you. Session descriptions and registration links, which are organized by date, are available starting about halfway down the page.

Zaretta Hammond, author of Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain, will host two webinars this month, and those are not listed on the WebJunction page. “Moving Beyond the Packet: Creating More Culturally Responsive Distance Learning Experiences” will be on Friday, 4/3, at 1 pm Pacific. “Parents as First Teachers: Supporting Reading Development at Home in Culturally Responsive Ways” will be on Monday, 4/6, at 1 pm Pacific.

About offerings related to our statewide databases, Gale has a few webinars scheduled, including one related to K-12 today at 11 am Pacific, and recorded webinars may be useful, too. Also check the LearningExpress Library calendar for webinars; search for "learningexpress” or “job” w/o quotes.

Interested in a webinar that already happened by the time you check? Follow the links, and there may be a recording.

Think others will be interested in some of these webinars? Please share.

Thanks,
Jen
